During China’s biggest shopping event, 11/11, ALDI—an unknown supermarket brand—needed to stand out. Instead of a traditional store, we created the ALDI Block Party on Alibaba: an interactive e-commerce experience where shoppers browsed by occasion, exploring virtual apartments filled with products to buy instantly.
The result? 100 million social impressions, 90% new customers, and one-day sales surpassing four months' total in 2017—all through an immersive, seamless mobile shopping journey.
